The first time I photographed this family was in 2013.  Leann was quite literally one of my first clients.  To be honest, not many people who came to me back when I was $150 for 30 images have stuck with me through all of the changes over these past 7 years. I have grown professionally, my quality has gotten SO MUCH better, and of course, my prices have increased right along with my skill and education. I know all too well that budgets and pricing matters when you are looking for a photographer, and the names of so many amazing and sweet families have come to mind each time I have had to change my prices.

Just because I understand that those sweet families must find someone else that fits within their budget, doesn’t mean that it makes my heart hurt any less to see them go.  Not because I “lost a client”, but because I absolutely LOVE seeing these precious families grow!  I love documenting those changes.  I love that I get to be a part of those special moments, and preserve them forever.  It is a privilege that I don’t ever take for granted.

BUT

If I don’t fit your budget, I WANT you to find someone else!  PLEASE document your families moments.  Make it a priority, because these babies won’t keep.  Your life is amazing!  Find someone who can see the beauty in your unique reality.  These precious children will grow up and a frighteningly fast speed, and if you don’t make sure to pay attention, document, and remember them just as they are now, these moments will slip away.

So when I look at these, and remember back to that first time I met Leann for her first family session, when she only had 3 kiddos, I see so many moments, growth, love and lots and lots of snuggles.
