Time flies doesn’t it?  I remember having my second baby, and excitedly waiting to have my oldest meet his new baby sister.  I remember that first time that I picked up my oldest son, who was only 2 years old at the time, and the strange feeling of realizing how big, this child who was my “baby” only 24 hours earlier, he had become literally overnight. Watching him grow in to an amazing big brother, and also struggle with it at times was hard and beautiful all at the same time.  We can not grow without change, but change can be uncomfortable.  I love looking back through the photos I took during that period of our life, remembering all of the little things that I never want to forget.

My favorite part of photographing young families is how it helps me remember my personal moments with my own children.  It is a beautiful gift to be reminded of something precious about those you love, because really, photos are most valuable to us because they have the power to help us remember.  They are the visual history of your family, the items that insure that those memories never slip away, and that makes them priceless. <3
