Would you just look at that precious face?!?! She had fallen asleep in the car, so it took a little bit to warm up, but goodness! By the end of the session she was absolutely beaming! These Milestone Sessions are some of my favorite to document. They change so quickly, and to watch their personalities grow and develop is such a special thing to watch. She is pulling up to stand now, and it won’t be long until she is walking. It is so special to have documented the perfection of her “right now” for her mama.

As we were chatting a bit at the end, the value of photography came up. I absolutely feel that there is artistic value in having personalized artwork. It’s sentimental and unique, BUT my favorite reason that I value photography so highly is because the images are a tangible trigger that recalls the memory of that specific moment in time. How they felt in your arms, the faces they make, the dimples on their knuckles, how they scrunch their nose when they smile big and their eyes open extra large when they are shy or unsure. These are the types of things I never want to forget about my own kids. It is a gift to be able to help other moms make sure they never forget either.

On another note, I have such a soft spot for pairing little girls in greens and blues. The neutral little romper pared with the blue blanket makes my eyes and heart  SO happy. <3
