Thanks for being here!!! Let me tell you a little bit about where I am coming from…
In 2005 I graduated from the University of Alaska with my BA in Business Administration. It was in college that I learned how to develop my own film and fell in love with the editing process in the dark room. It wasn’t until I got my first DSLR on my 31st birthday, that I fell in love with photography. Since then, I have not only grown my skill as a photographer, but also a very profitable business. I learned the hard way, that doing it someone else’s way, just because they are successful, isn’t a recipe for personal success. As parents and caregivers, many times, our businesses bump up against the rest of our life, and too often, we feel that we must choose one or the other.
That is simply not true!!! My approach as I come along side of you, is to help you build your business in a way that will support and GIVE to the rest of your life, rather than fighting against it.
I built my business while my husband was finishing his degree in the evenings and I had 2 babies in that time. I am a wife and homeschooling mama of 5 kids and 1 puppy. Living on 17 acres in North Alabama and using it (and all the work it brings) as my living backdrop.
It wasn’t easy, but if I can do it, anyone can!

Virtual Mentoring – $100/hr ($50 retainer due at time of booking)
- We can talk about anything you like! Business, marketing, SEO, technique, time management, editing, client management, customer service, automation or even logistics…
- This mentoring will be held on Skype or Facetime, scheduled during a time that works for us both.
Website Review – $150 ($50 retainer due at time of booking)
- I will look over your website and complete a review with a minimum of 1 full page of typed feedback.
- I will be analyzing for usability, information accessibility, presentation, branding and overall experience.
- The purpose of my website reviews are to give you the information and feedback that you need to fine tune your site. Increasing the client experience, increasing the perception of your quality and professionalism, and ultimately turn more lookers in to bookers.
Portfolio Review – $150 ($50 retainer due at time of booking)
- I will look over your set of images (20 min – 100 max) and complete a review with a minimum of 1 full page of typed feedback. Included in the feedback, I will include suggestions/education resources for developing weaker areas that would create a stronger portfolio.
Business Mentoring – $750 ($100 retainer due at time of booking)
- 1st Meeting: 2 hour online mentor session via Skype or Face Time.
- 2nd Meeting: 1 hour online mentor session via Skype or Face Time.
- 3rd Meeting: 1 hour online mentor session via Skype or Face Time.
- 4th Meeting: 1 hour online mentor session via Skype or Face Time.
- 6 months of continued support with questions and image critique through email or Facebook messenger.
- 1 Website Review (to be completed at your preference within 6 months of the initial meeting)
- 1 Portfolio Review (to be completed at your preference within 6 months of the initial meeting)
#JMPnofilter – $2000 ($500 retainer and signed contract due at time of booking)
- 1.5 days of hands on 1:1 mentoring (4 hours Friday and 8 hours on Saturday)
- Day 1 – Meet up and talk about photo shoot prep and shooting style. Discuss settings and the overall plan for the photo-shoot. Meet model family at the shooting location and have hands on learning with posing, lighting, session workflow, location scouting and any other questions you may have along the way.
- Day 2 – This day is specifically tailored to your personal goals and dreams. Throughout the day we will edit the images taken from the session we shot together but also talk about and edit whatever you like. I affectionately refer to this day as “the brain dump”. Packing in as much information as I can in to the time we have together.
- Topics may include but are not limited to, Natural light shooting, Posing and interacting with clients, Post-processing workflow, Advanced editing techniques (Lightroom & Photoshop), Client communication, Equipment and gear, Camera settings and shooting manual, Branding and graphic design, Album design, Website design, Labs and vendor information, Starting a new business, Pricing and marketing, Accounting, What has worked (and hasn’t worked) for me, Balancing a business and family time and ANYTHING else you can think of!
- 6 months of continued support with questions and image critique through email or Facebook messenger.
- 3 hours of additional face time/skype mentoring to be used within the 6 months of the initial mentoring date. (may be used all at once or broken up in to 1 or 1.5 hour chunks)
