I love seeing the changes over time. As a parent, we really don’t see the changes happening quite as distinctly as others that might not see our kids every day. With my own kids, I have often remembered a detail, as I am looking back over the photos I have taken, and wondered when the last time they stopped making that face, or grew out of something, because they don’t do it any more… Honestly, if not for those images, I most likely would have forgotten it completely. Our photos are, in reality, the personal visual history of our family. No one else may care about those details, but I do.

That is probably why I feel so incredibly honored every single time I am asked to document the “right now” for other families. Preserving those little and special moments allows us to remember, and that to me, is an important and priceless gift. <3
